EUROPEAN TOUR PROVIDES SONGWRITER
MUSICAL JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME
During his very recent tour of Europe (which included stops in France, Switzerland and Italy) Nashville Composer / Songwriter Eddie Reasoner performed at the very prestigious Italian Villa DEste’at Lake Como. (European home of Actor George Clooney) As an encore, he was given a special invitation by the Giulini family to showcase his original songs in private concert at the Villa Medici, world renown for its collection of extremely rare and historic grand pianos.
The Villa Medici, located in Briosco, Italy near Milan was built in 1643 and later purchased by one of Italy’s most famous musical dynasties – the Medici di Marignano family. Now the property of Giulini family, the Villa hosts some of most treasured keyboard instruments in the world including Mozart’s number two and number three pianos built by Walter and Stein. (Number one resides in a museum in Vienna, Austria) and Napoleon’s sister’s piano, all of which are in a perfect state of conservation. “To play Mozart’s pianos – truly is a once in a lifetime experience” said Reasoner who writes, performs and produces musical themes for film and television and is a very accomplished and recognized keyboard player in his own right.
Reasoner concluded his European tour in Zurich, Switzerland along with a intermediate stopover in Paris, France viewing Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa on display at the Louvre Art Museum as well as a side trip to Bern, Basal and a visit to the “Eiger,” one of the Swiss Alps’ most famous mountain peaks near Interlaken. For Reasoner, it truly was a musical trip to remember.
